I created this journal mainly to keep up with fandom related news and graphic/ writing communities. Updates are sporadic at times, but I'll be sure to make them entertaining xD. It will remain an open journal for the time being. I enjoy meeting new people but do comment here first if you want to be friends so I know who you are.

Notes: Written to fill a request by kelscium  at fairy_flash . I wrote this before the end of the Edo arc, somewhere around the chapter where Gazille first fights PantherLily, so there are some discrepancies with the manga. It’s interesting to note that there was a fight during the party though xD. And really, everyone should read Fairy Tail. And no, I wasn’t paid to say that.

Summary: When trying to woo a fair maiden, never ever write poetry about it.

I signed up to write three fics for khrfest *laughs*

Since it's my first time writing for KHR, my initial plan was to just pick one of the prompts but there were just so many interesting ones and in the end, I picked three. I haven't exactly started writing yet, but right now in the planning stage, two of them are probably going to be fairly crack-ish while the other would be a rather depressing piece.

I noticed that there are no other people who signed up for my prompts, so I'm hoping for this challenge is that I managed to finish the fics on time and that the person who requested it would be happy with what I write. I'm most worried about being able to project the voice, the thoughts and actions of the characters properly to keep everything in character. Some of the characters are fairly hard to write for and on second thought, I realized I've picked two of the most complicated guys ever.

*is nervous but thinks khrfest is going to be a fun ride too*

I had some free time today so I spent it messing around with the main banner on my LJ and also my semi completed intro post. I colored the Fairy Tail header (which I don't think suits the theme of my journal now that it's up) and my dear ce_lestic  colored the Dino intro panel (I'll try to think of something more interesting for the speech bubbles. Seriously. Unless you guys want to give me some suggestions xD).

Edit: Have you ever lost interest in some things, activities or people that you used to like or enjoy? I do. There are times when I just get less enthusiastic about something or someone, but it's no one's fault but mine. 

I've got this crazy urge to start writing fics out of a sudden. The last fic I wrote was to fulfill a drabble request in  fairy_flash , so I visited a whole bunch of writing communities in the Bleach, Reborn, One Piece and Naruto fandom today and was quite disappointed to find that they are all rather inactive nowadays. But then I found bleach_muses (thanks horusguard76 ) and since they focus on one sentence meme's and are quite active, I think I should be able to participate once in a while. The schmoop and hc_bingo cards I've seen several of my f-lists going for seems to be quite interesting too. If  not, maybe I'll just take drabble requests on here :3

I listened to KHR's Song Red album and I think Dino's song was the most amusing one and possibly my favorite. You know you're a perv when you hear 'Make me hard' in the lyrics and think dirty thoughts. Fandom, what have you done to me? :D

Last but not least, a few notes about this week's manga chapters. 

Naruto 502- Holy shit, yondaime is awesome. 'Nuff said.

Bleach 412- All the GinRan angst is heartbreaking.

So Spain are the new champions :)

My loyalty to the German team do not allow me to be too happy for them, but I admit that they deserved this victory. This edition of the World Cup has been a fun ride, with hot favourites like Brazil and Argentina getting surprise defeats, and big names like England and Italy being less than stellar. I was hoping that teams like South Korea, South Africa and Japan could go a bit further but they did play well in their matches.

Am I the only one getting World Cup withdrawal symptoms? I almost miss staying up just to watch the matches at 2.30am. The sports channel is still playing reruns of the matches and highlights and that was what I spent the morning doing. Watching match highlights, before switching over to Bones and NCIS. Well, I don't have classes today so I could spend the morning relaxing a little xD

Speaking of classes, the new semester started last week, and I'm still stuck trying to register for subjects and paying for fees. I'm hoping that this semester will have a lighter workload than the last one, which was filled with research papers, super long essays, lack of sleep and very little time spent in fandom. I got a rather pathetic grade in one of my finance papers, and I'm now debating the wisdom of retaking the whole damn thing or just take the final exam, but with my grade capped ;_;

On a happier note, I am now a full fledged One Piece fan. I didn't like the art much at first but manthur  gave a lot of glowing reviews when she recommended it to me, so I started reading and I love it. I rank it much better than Naruto. The only problem is, while both she and Ramody have assured me that it isn't a strawhat who died in the event that sparked big fandom wank that happened quite recently, I've accidentally found out who it is while checking out some art at DA *pulls hair in frustration*

P/S: Spoilers for the big three plus KHR are out and they're all very very interesting.

How was the World Cup for everyone? I'm pretty happy with my favourite teams so far. Germany was great against Australia and Brazil was OK, but I thought Spain, Portugal and England were a bit of a letdown in their games with less attacking. But Argentina just beat South Korea 4-1, which has me half happy and sad because although Argentina was the better team, I was hoping South Korea could do better than that.

Anyway, some manga talk for this week's chapters.

I've only reached chapter 260 of One Piece but have finished Claymore. Pretty good development for a two week manga marathon ^^

So the FullMetal Alchemist manga has finally come to an end. It was beautiful, it was bittersweet and yet still a a very satisfying journey. I've always loved FMA for its characterization, plot and pacing. All the loose ends will come together in the end, and we're never left wondering what will happen, only confidence in Arakawa's ability to write the best stories and wrap up everything with a solid performance.
